I would like to point out that as soon as a quote like the one I brought up is on the Al Jazeera channel, its circulation washes over all the Arab channels due to the power of influence of Al Jazeera and the high ratings it receives. The things that appear in Al Jazeera are quickly reproduced and appear in almost every Arab media that deals with the Palestinian issue.

As I mentioned last time, a person is allowed to say quite a lot within the framework of freedom of speech… Just try to read the above quotes from the perspective of Yahya Sinwar, of Nasrallah and of each of Israel’s enemies from the ranks of the military operatives to the decision makers. The resulting picture of the situation in Israel is reminiscent of the months before October 7. This is what encouraged them to go to war.

As for the quote about needing a prisoner deal – even if it is true, when a cabinet member says it publicly it increases the bargaining power of the other side in such a deal.

Reality Check

Public comments are not revealing anything they don’t know. Their bargaining advantage comes from the fact they hold the hostages and they know our sensitivity on the subject. It’s the Israeli public that needs to be told the truth.
