For the first time since the second intifada, the IDF attacked the Balata refugee camp in Nablus tonight from the air.
The building that was attacked is the Fatah headquarters in Balata.
As a result of the attack, the following were killed:
Mahmoud al-Zoufi (Commander of the Balata Battalion)
Muhammad Abbas
Muhammad Hashash
Ali Farge
Muhammad Alamsimi
An interesting thing happened after the attack. Due to an initial mistake in identifying the dead, it was announced that one was an operative of the military arm of Hamas – Tamer Pekha. It was then announced by Hamas-identified sources that he carried out the shooting attack near Einav on 2/11 in which Reserve Major Elhanan Klein z”l was killed.
A few hours later, it was reported that Pekha’s family members arrived at Rafdia Hospital in Nablus to see the body and announced that it was not Tamer Pekha.
So tonight the Palestinians accidentally revealed the terrorist who carried out the attack in Einav.
