Unofficial Lebanese sources report 6 dead – four of them from the Lebanese Army’s Fifth Brigade and two from the Engineering Regiment – and at least 12 wounded among Lebanese Army soldiers following an “ammunition explosion” in the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah-affiliated channels claim that these were unexploded ordnance dropped by Israel. It is also possible that the incident involved Hezbollah’s own weaponry. Now, in light of the decision to disarm Hezbollah, it is more important than ever for Hezbollah supporters to construct a narrative that blames Israel.
