The Kurds in Iraq and Turkey are rallying to defend their brethren in Syria: demonstrations against the American consulate in Iraq, a general Kurdish mobilization aimed at entering Syria from Iraq and Turkey
Large demonstrations by Kurds were recorded last night in Iraq and Turkey.
A central protest was held in front of the American consulate in Erbil, Iraq, in protest of the Americans abandoning the Kurds in Syria.
The protesters stood on the consulate walls, removed the “USA” inscription from the entrance sign, and waved Kurdish flags.
Demonstrations were also recorded in other areas of the Iraqi Kurdistan region: in Dohuk, in Sulaymaniyah, in Zakho, and more.
The Turkish consulate building in Dohuk was breached and the Turkish flag was removed.
Kurdish Peshmerga battalions in Iraq are preparing to enter Syria.
Kurdish civilians in Qamishli (eastern Syria) armed themselves as part of a general mobilization for war against the regime of Abu Muhammad al-Julani, who began entering the nearby Hasakah province.
The Nusaybin border crossing between Syria and Turkey (Qamishli) was set on fire. Kurds from Turkey entered Syrian territory to assist their brethren. The Turks are trying to prevent the entry of Kurds from their territory.
