Following yesterday’s report that Germany will join as a third party to the discussion at the International Court of Justice in The Hague and support Israel, Hamas publishes a statement of condemnation in which it calls on Germany to withdraw this step.
After the official statement of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Hamas allows itself to express itself on the matter officially and not behind “unnamed actors”:
Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi declared…
It is a right moment for the Germans to show historical responsibility and sensitivity to the subject because no one in Europe knows better how a genocide looks like and no one is touched by the accusation of a genocide more. Let me ask you all here: was Germany ever in Hague accused of a genocide of Jews?
Turning the time back is impossible. Repairing history by taking action in the right moment – a moral obligation and a great chance. My respect to those who find the courage to do so.
