Gaza Strip: Conflict between Hamas police and Islamic Jihad activists in Rafah

Palestinian sources report that last night there was a clash between Hamas Police officers and members of the PIJ’s military wing worshipping at the “Al-Ouda” mosque in Rafah (southern Gaza Strip) after a confrontation broke out between supporters of the two groups, prompting Hamas to disperse worshipers from the mosque (this is not the first time such an incident has occurred at the mosque).

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Hamas police had no problem entering the mosque with their shoes on and stepping on the prayer carpet. It is worth mentioning that Israeli police officers at the Temple Mount are careful to remove their shoes before stepping onto the prayer carpet, as has been reported here on this channel more than once.
