Shantir had enough time to say goodbye to his family and even “give a speech” in which he declared that he was “turning himself in with his head held high,” adding that “the Palestinians have the right to the land, while the Israelis have no right to it,” and also shouting “Allahu Akbar, victory to Islam and to all Muslims.”
This, of course, at a time when IDF soldiers are waiting outside to arrest him after ordering him to turn himself in.
