Hamas spokesman Hazem Kasem addressed the incident: “the young people of the West Bank responded to the crimes of the occupation against our people with a new attack, especially in response to the crimes against the Palestinian women of Hebron (referring to a recent Israeli article on Palestinian women that were strip-searched by Israeli forces – Abu Ali).
“Katibat al-Fajar” (“the Dawn Battalion”) – an organization associated with Fatah’s al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (AMB), accepted responsibility for the attack, which they claim was carried out by Muhammad Zabidat (in the attached picture), as an initial response to the same “crime against the women of Hebron.”
