According to the organization, approximately 40 Syrian soldiers were killed in today’s incident, and around 10 were wounded.
ISIS also states that two buses of the Syrian army entered the ambush area where the organization’s fighters were positioned. The operatives attacked the buses with gunfire and rockets, resulting in one of the buses catching fire with the Syrian soldiers still inside.
ISIS claims that its fighters safely returned to their base after the attack.
